Michelle Carter joined Knight Foundation in April 2016.

Prior to joining Knight, Carter held several executive-level support roles, most recently as the executive assistant to the CFO at Equity One, a real estate investment trust. She recently returned to Miami after having spent over a decade in New York.

Carter attended New World School of the Arts and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance from the University of Florida. She has studied geology and was awarded a National Science Foundation/Paleontological Society grant to attend and present at the Second International Palaeontological Congress in Beijing.

Carter plays pickup soccer, makes a killer tres leches cake and enjoys exploring the wilds of South Florida with her family.
